Important
This is performance coaching, not clinical care.
Kaishindo Performance is built for adult athletes who want to develop the mental side of their game — focus, imagery, arousal regulation, pre-performance routines, post-game review. These are performance skills, not treatments.
The platform is not:
- therapy or counseling
- a substitute for working with a sport psychology PhD or a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC)
- medical treatment
- a tool for diagnosing or treating any mental health condition
If you're experiencing any of the following, please reach out to a qualified professional rather than relying on the Service:
- persistent low mood, hopelessness, or thoughts of self-harm
- panic attacks or severe anxiety that interferes with daily functioning
- eating-disorder-related thoughts or behaviors
- substance-use concerns
- trauma response that hasn't been addressed with a licensed clinician
- any symptom that warrants medical attention
If you need help right now
In the US, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Outside the US, see our crisis resources page for international hotlines and athlete-specific resources.
When to add a clinician
Many high-performing athletes work with both a performance coach and a clinical mental-health professional. The two roles are complementary, not interchangeable. If you don't have a clinician and you suspect you'd benefit from one, ask your physician, your team athletic trainer, or your university counseling center for a referral.
